Halloween at the Office

Halloween 08

1st shift:
Jedi, cowgirl, pregnant pumpkin, clown, punk rocker, a lobster, soldier, and naughty school girl. And, since Domingo is the only one who didn’t dress up, 1 Mexican.

I typically don’t care about Halloween, but I didn’t want to be a total fud, so I gave in and consented to be SOMEthing. I chose a soldier. My attire included an item from my collection from every decade since WWII. WWII ammo belt, canteen, and bandage pouch, Korean War veteran’s combat shirt (used up through Vietnam), late WWII – Vietnam era steel pot helmet, 1980’s Boonie Hat, 1990’s Combat Boots, early 2000 pre-ACU ripstop pants. I put grandad’s hunting knife on the belt since it is big and imposing and a bit k-bar like.

The couple of vets I spoke with during the day appreciated the detail and had their own stories. One I visited with in the evening went searching for his Vietnam dress cap.
